The Grounds

To the front of the property the original farmyard has been gravelled with local stone and is completely enclosed.  This makes Le Grand Buisson particularly suitable for people who like to holiday with their dogs as they can be completely contained in the safety of the courtyard.

The property faces South and therefore the courtyard has been developed to be the main outdoor area for your use.  The courtyard has several picnic style benches and a large table and eight chairs for alfresco dining.  There is also a large portable BBQ for your use.

Behind the house is a large grassed area, which will be hedged and fenced during the autumn of 2009.  In the summer months of June, July & August there is an above-ground swimming pool for our clients to use.  In the longer term we plan to build an indoor pool (with an Endless Pool water treadmill) in the small barn. The above ground pool is an Intex 'splasher' pool which is 18ft x 9ft x 4.5ft.  The pool has a volley ball net and there are a selection of inflatables for clients use.The pool is located to the rear garden where it receives sunshine all day and has no overhanging trees.  Beyond the fenced area of lawn is the farmland which is home to approx 40 cows.  The cows are rotated from field to field every week and are looked after by the French farmer, who will always give you a friendly wave and stop for a chat if you have the time.

The Barns

Half of the large barn has been converted into a ‘play’ barn with a concrete base.  In here you will find a competition snooker table, complete with score board, lights and all the relevant snooker paraphernalia, a football table, darts board and small home gym, which consists of a multi-gym, several benches, a range of weights and a gym mat.  There is also a yoga mat and several instructional DVD’s for your use in the armoire in the lounge.    There is a TV and DVD player which can be used to play exercise DVD's or indeed to keep the children amused watching kids movies outside.  The DVD player can also be used to play music CD's through the TV.  As there is a table and chairs and party lights strung around, the barn can also be used for dinning semi-alfresco if the weather isn't great.

The small barn houses the oil tank but has not been developed yet and is therefore not available for use.
