The Living Rooms
The Kitchen / Dinning Room
The kitchen units and furniture are from Fired Earth and are finished in a typical Provencal style, with chunky oak details and distressed paint finish. The kitchen is fitted with a wide range of modern appliances including a range style cooker with electric oven (with rotisserie) and 5 ring gas hob, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster etc. Numerous cooking and food preparation accessories are provided including crockery, cutlery and glasses for 12 people. The enthusiastic cook will find a rice cooker, a full set of chefs knives and a small library of cook books with recipes from around the World.
The dining room area is furnished with a large oak table which seats 8 people. There is also a Fired Earth armoire which matches the kitchen units.
The Utility Room
The utility room can be accessed from either the kitchen or the hallway. In here we have a washing machine and a tumble dryer along with a good selection of household equipment including an iron, ironing board and airer. There is also a butlers’ sink unit in here and the door to the ground floor WC.
Sitting Room
The focal points of the sitting room are the lovely renovated exposed stone wall and granite fireplace, which has been installed with a Godin log burner. The sitting room has a modern red leather corner group sofa and a further traditional sofa, which will seat 8 in comfort. There is a 42” LCD Ambilight back lit TV with home cinema system and, as the wall lights are dimmable, this system offers a great movie watching experience . There is also a DVD library which currently has about 100 movies for you to choose from, covering many genres and certificates, so you should be able to find something for all the family. You can play your own CD’s or indeed connect your ipod via the installed Apple dock through the home cinema system speakers. There is also a Playstation 2 connected to the TV with a small selection of games to choose from. There is a desk should you (heaven forbid!) need to work at your laptop and an old armoire houses a small library of books, magazines, tourist information and good old fashioned board games.
