The Bedrooms

Being very rural, Le Grand Buisson is very quiet (barring the odd hoot from the barn owls) and dark at night which makes for a great night’s sleep and to further ensure your comfort all bedrooms have been furnished with good quality mattresses, feather mattress toppers, goose down and feather duvets and pillows, hotel quality 400 thread count Egyptian cotton monogrammed bedlinen and pretty French toile bed throws with matching large square pillows.  You may never want to get up in the morning, but isn’t that what holidays are for?

Bedroom No.1

This spacious original oak floored bedroom is situated on the first floor and is furnished with a kingsize gilt Louis XVI bed and matching bedside tables, and an antique commode (chest of drawers) with a large gilt mirror over and a fabulous antique armoire, along with a gilt chair.  This room has views over the land to the front of the house.

Bedroom No.2

This bedroom is also situated on the first floor, has oak floors and is furnished with an antique Louis XVI bed with matching bedside table and armoire.  There is also an antique bench in this room.  This room also has views across the front field.

Bedroom No. 3

This bedroom is situated on the second floor of the house, which was once the attic.  This room has very high ceilings and retains the marvellous A-frame beams and has a delightful exposed stone wall.  It is furnished with two pretty white metal antique style single beds, a white painted Chateau bedside table, a pretty Venetian glass mirrored chest of drawers and matching mirror, a Phillip Stark Louis Ghost chair and a hanging rail.

Bedroom No.4

This bedroom is also on the second floor of the house and is furnished with a kingsize white painted Louis XVI style bed, has two white painted antique style bedside tables, a white painted Comtesse Commode and a French antique style white chair.  There is a white painted mirrored three part screen with hanging rail behind.

The Bathrooms

The bathrooms again have been appointed to the highest standard to provide maximum relaxation.  Both bathrooms have been completed in natural stone and have a shaver socket, hotel style towel rails, Venetian glass shelves and an extractor fan.  They will be left for you with large soft thick towels from Fenn Wright and Manson.

Bathroom 1 – First Floor

This spacious and relaxing bathroom has a large bateau bath fed from a monoblock mixer tap with controls on the wall.  The Fired Earth basin vanity unit has a Venetian glass mirror over and three small lights above.  There is a walk-in style glass shower unit with an alcove to hold toiletries and a large saucer style shower head.  The wc, also by Fired Earth, is a high level cistern unit which perfectly compliments the age of the property.

Bathroom 2 – Second Floor

This bathroom also features a walk-in style shower with large saucer style showerhead and period mixer taps.  There is a low level WC and white basin unit with a Venetian glass mirror above.
