A good base for all golfers with many different courses of varying abilities. Normandy boasts 36 courses.  The one at Bagnoles De L'Orne, is a pretty 9 hole course overlooked by a Chateau with an added water feature. Clecy offers a more challenging course in the rolling valleys of Suisse Normandy with superb views from every hole.  Other courses at Gorron, Vire, Caen and Granville to name but a few.  Please see the Links page to open a website giving the details of golf courses nearby.

General

• For enjoyable dog walks or cycling there is a nature trail path (converted from an old railway track) on the way to Le Neufbourg (about 5 mins drive).  The track runs all the way to Paris!
• The lakes at Ger, Larchamp and Champsecret offer fishing chargeable at half day or full day rates.
• Fosse Arthur has rock climbing and horse riding as well as forest walks, fishing and cycling.
• Torchamp and Clecy are the places to go for kayaking and other water activities.  Cley has some nice riverside restaurants.
• For something different, try the velo rail at Pont-Erambourg and St Loup-du-Gast, great fun for all cycling on a railway line on specially adapted bikes for 4!
• The leisure lake at Ambrieres les Vallees offers kayaking, tennis, walks, cycling, adventure playground, mini golf and an outdoor pool - perfect place for a picnic and day out.
• If you're not scared of heights, try the tree walks at St Leonard des Bois, an elevated tree top path through the woods (harness and helmets provided!)
• Within 1 to 1.5 hours drive, the many Normandy Landing Beaches, museums and War Cemetries can be reached.
